Christians have been urged to be conscious of where they will spend eternity while carrying out their earthly activities.
Pastor Idia Aidevo of the Living Faith Church made the call on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in Asaba at a Service of Songs for late Mrs Awele Marian Agbaike wife of Mr. Johnson Agbaike, Assistant Public Relations Officer to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State.
According to him, the world is a passage to heaven or hell stating that how one spends his time while on earth will determine where he will spend eternity. “Death is compulsory we should be concerned about how we live our lives here because that will decide where we spend our eternity. Heaven is real, hell is real and it is wise that everybody is born again it is a blessing to die as a believer.”
Mr. Agbaike describerd his late wife as “a mother to me and our son, she bestowed so much love on us, she was a loving and generous wife and mother” The service was attended by top government functionaries, civil servants and journalists.
Earlier, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Delta State, Mr Sunny Ogefere had described the death of Mrs Awele Marian Agbaike, as shocking and dumbfounding.
According to Mr Ogefere, the death was a big blow to the Press Crew of the Governor of Delta State which he described as “a close knit family,” adding that the demise was a great loss especially, to Mr Agbaike which he described as a diligent and experienced hand.
The remains of Mrs Awele Marian Agbaike has been interred, according to Chhristian rites.
Until her death, she was a staff of the Ministry of Water Resources Development and died after a brief illness at the age of 36.
The deceased is survived by an aged mother, husband; Mr Johnson Agbaike, a son, Master Kome Agbaike and other relations.
