The newly appointed Managing Director of Warri Wolves, Davidson Owumi has indicated his intention to meet with all stakeholders in Warri to discuss the way forward for the Club.
According to the Media Officer of the Club, Etu Moses, the former Chairman of the Nigerian Professional League in a bid to get more information will on a day yet to be fixed next week meet with all stakeholders comprising Ex- Footballers living in Warri.
Those to attend the summit where he is expected to seek their view on the Club which played in the final of the FA Cup and finished 6th on the table of Glo Premier League include the Delta Chapter of the Coaches Association.
Also to attend is the referees Association and Sports Writers who are based in the State in what is going to be his first official duty since he was appointed.
‘“Our Managing Director will hold a serious meeting with all stakeholders next week and the day will be made known before the weekend. The aim of the summit is to find out one or two things which will guide him as he embarks on a mission to take the Club to the next level. As I am talking to you, invitation letters have been sent to the Coaches Association, the Press, the Referees and Ex- Footballers. He wants to achieve something for the Club and to get to the root of what has been happening before his appointment, it is pertinent for him to meet all stakeholders.”
Meanwhile, Mr Owumi who is known as Okada in his playing days with the Super Eagles has urged all those saddled with one responsibility or the other in the Club to queue with his vision or step aside.
Etu disclosed that Owumi will not want to dent his image hence; he has asked all the staff to sit up and work with him to transform the Club.
“He has a vision for the Club and he feels that everybody involved in the running of the Club should follow his footsteps or quit on his own. He has a dream for the Club and hopefully, he will achieve it.”
