Ward Coordinators for Palliative Distribution in Bomadi Local Government Area have been advised to be transparent in the distribution of the palliative items and also improve on what they did during the first phase.
These statements were made by Head of Personnel management ( HPM) and also double as Acting Caretaker Chairman, Bomadi Local Government Council , Dr Ighomrore Hope during a meeting held with Ward Coirdinators and Stakeholders in the Council premises last week to formally inform Ward Coordinators of a meeting at State level on 2nd May, 2024 of the forthcoming second phase of Palliative Distribution for the vulnerable at the grassroots.
Dr. Hope stated that , the government is feeling so much about the present situation in the country so in his wisdom therefore is trying to bring food items to alleviate the suffering of the people at home.
According to the Acting Caretaker Chairman , Palliative: is a moment of showing concern to alleviate the suffering of the people , therefore asked Ward Coordinators to make sure that it get to dawn throwing and the targeted group of people in their wards, saying that it should be done with transparency.
He pointed out that, they (The HPM, LGA COORDINATOR AND STAKEHOLDERS) were given marching order to ensure that at the LGA level the items should be evenly distributed to those that are vulnerable, the beneficiaries should not be denied. He also urged Ward Coordinators to sustain the good name Bomadi LGA have at the state level.
Earlier, the Bomadi Local Government Area Coordinator, Mr Bernard Barbar asked Ward Coordinators to improve on what they did during the first phase by ensuring that all the items should get to those that are in need of it.
Mr Barbar seriously advised them to be responsible and responsive to the task before them, saying, there should be no form of diversion of any item and they should work according to the guidelines given to them. He added that the government would frowned in any capacity in case there is diversion.
Mr Bernard Barbar who also double as Assistant Auditor, People’s Democratic Party,PDP , Delta State Chapter opined that , they should count themselves worthy to be part of the Coordinators, therefore, they should use this opportunity to sell themselves for greater responsibilities ahead.
In his words “your performance during the first phase gave you this second chance, therefore use it well to actualize your dreams ” . He thanked them for their usually Cooperation. He thanked the State Government for giving them the opportunity to serve. He also commended the Acting Caretaker Chairman for his understanding and being proactive.
