Unity among Communities at the rural areas is a catalyst for development, saying “when Community leaders and opinion leaders are united genuinely , it will fast-track-meaningful development ” Says Daregha
This statement made by the Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Political Matters, Hon. Simeon Daregha when he paid a visit to the people of Ward 5, Kalafiogbene/ Ekametagbene/ Elohim City to formally declared his intention to contest Bomadi Local Government Chairmanship position.
Hon. Daregha urged them to work together in unity, use languages that would attract good relationships, pursue democratic dividends for the benefits of all, saying peaceful coexistence can only be derived through unity.
According to him, politics should not divide them instead, it should further strengthen them democratically to achieve the desired goals of the Communities in the Ward because, they are people of common destiny.
He pointed out that Ward 5 has paid it dues democratically by contributing immensely in all elections since 1999 till date to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bomadi LGA, Delta State and Nigeria at large.
Hon. Daregha therefore asked good people of Ward 5 to sacrifice their time, knowledge, wisdom etc to sincerely work together in unity to support him. He stressed, ” My intention if elected is to be good representative that would bring TRUE SATISFACTION to people of Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State by the grace of God.
Meanwhile, PDP Ward 5 Chairman, Koroama Solomon, Elder Edougha Moses, Yusuf Eregbene and the Community Chairmen of Kalafiogbene, Elohim City, Ekametagbene thanked God for providing the opportunity for their son Hon. Simeon Daregha to have used his position to affect the Communities in Ward 5 positively in various ways.
They appealed to God to guard and guide him , and passionately appealed to political leadership of Bomadi LGA to support him , according to them Hon. Daregha has served and faithful in ensuring that PDP remain the only political Party in the LGA.
