Elders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Isoko South local government area has re-assured the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the MD/CEO of DESOPADEC, Bashorun Askia Ogieh JP of their continued support for the Stronger Delta agenda.
The PDP group which promised to sustain it’s preaching about the good governance and leadership qualities of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Bashorun Askia Ogieh, said that the duo, has through their exemplary legacies, built solid political trust among the people of the State.
They passed a vote of confidence on the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Bashorun Askia Ogieh JP for his role in providing people oriented political and socio-economic development projects in the area.
The unanimous passage of the vote of confidence took place during the PDP meeting of the Elders forum held at Hon Patrick Egbuwoku’s residence in Isoko South local government area.
One of the leaders, Chief Anthony Okwegbe Ogodo, while addressing the congregation, explained that the positive development impact of Bashorun Askia Ogieh in the political space of the entire Isoko nation, especially in Isoko South, has entrenched stronger unity of purpose among members of the party.
He spoke about the numerous infrastructure development projects dotting nearly every nook and cranny of the area, aside human capital development, attracted by the Udu 1 of Isoko land, adding that Bashorun Askia has fully restored party members faith in the party.
After reeling out the good news of the party leader, the.popular group known as Isoko South PDP Elders Forum, therefore unanimously passed a vote of confidence on the DESOPADEC MD/CEO Chief Bashorun Askia Ogieh.
Others who spoke at the well attended PDP meeting assured the people of Isoko South to always be supportive of their political leaders who have been attracting development to their areas.
They however promised to continue to support the Stronger Delta goal of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the legacies of Bashorun Askia in entrenching good governance and building political trust among the people..
In attendance of at the meeting were Hon. Patrick Egbuwoku, Sir James Etugbo (JP) , Chief Anthony Okwegbe Ogodo,, Chief Ruben Oguname, Chief Agbada, Hon. Rolland Onoruna and many others.
The renowned PDP group also particularly commended Odio Bashorun Askia and DESOPADEC Board for the five (5) classroom blocks, offices and other facilities citied at Eweri Primary School, Emede, saying that the landmark project has significantly eased the learning and teaching condition of pupils and teachers.
