In recognition of his invaluable contribution towards the advancement of Delta State, one of Delta’s young CEO, Mr Samuel Askia JP, was honored with the award for ‘Youth Role Model in Business’ at the 20th edition of the Delta Role Model Awards.
The event which held at the Maryam Babangida Leisure Park Asaba, was well attended by top government officials and Deltans from across the globe who gathered to celebrate those who have distinguished themselves and their contributions appreciated by the state government.
Samuel Askia was recognized and honored as one of the young men changing the economic landscape of the state as an entrepreneur spaning over two decades with investment in various sectors of the economy.
The captain of Industry and Business icon was recognized for his contributions towards shaping the future for young entrepreneurs, and for his role in encouraging small businesses by assisting them with business grants and start up capital.
Samuel Askia is the M/D CEO, Uzere Foods and Industries Ltd, REX Samz Oil & Gas Ltd and Mano Group which is a major employer of labour and has contributed in no small measure towards reducing unemployment in Delta State.
His conglomerate spans around critical sectors of the economy in vital sectors such as Oil & Gas, Industrial Agriculture, Hospitality & Tourism including
Real Estate.
The award ceremony was organized by the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Tourism, Delta State Government, and African Child Foundation.
