The foreign trip of the Governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa to China will afford him the opportunity to meet with key investors as part of government efforts to make Kwale Industrial Park among the best in Africa, one of Okowa’s aides Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe has revealed.
The Kwale Industrial Park is said to upon take off employ minimum of 70,000 Delrans, both skilled and unskilled labourers.
The aide presented Governor Okowa as saying: “In an effort to fast-track the takeoff of the Kwale Industrial Park, which will create more than 70,000 new jobs in Delta State, I am in China to meet with prospective investors and other key project stakeholders.”
He said Chinese industrialists are interested in partnering with government to make the state a reference point through participation in the development of the Kwale Industrial Park and other projects mapped out to further boost the economy.
“Gov Okowa’s trip to China is timely and commendable, and it’s necessary for us as Deltans to appreciate this administration for putting in place the needed strategic efforts towards the attainment of a Stronger Delta,” Oghenesivbe said.
