Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has appointed Mr Kingsley Ikem Azuh as his Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties.
Azuh’s appointment has been lauded by many Deltans, including the Director of Information who remarked with joy that the appointment of Kingsley Azuh is an eloquent testimony to the fact that the State Governor has penchant to accord recognition to credibility, hard work and merit, even as he is desirous in putting square pegs in square holes.
He noted that by elevating Azuh to that exulted privilege position of service, it is now on record that Senator Okowa is the first Governor in Delta State who has taken cognizance of the vital role the Information Officers play as a link between the government and the people.
While thanking the Governor for the appointment of Azuh, the Information Director promised that Information Officers in the State Civil Service will continue to put in their best to publicize the activities of the Government especially the Government S.M.A.R.T Agenda, designed to build a virile and prosperous Delta, State.
He prayed Almighty God to give the Governor the wisdom, patience, good health and serenity to pilot the affairs of the State for growth and development.
The Director of Information equally seized the opportunity to felicitate with Mr Kingsley Azuh for the appointment, even as he urged him to work harder to justify the appointment.
He prayed God to give Mr Azuh the wisdom to discharge his duties efficiently and responsibly as a good ambassador of the State Ministry of Information.
Until his appointment, Mr Kingsley Ikem Azuh was an Assistant Chief Information Officer at the state Ministry of Information.
