Ononye Fetes Oshimili South PDP Leaders At Christmas
In the spirit of Christmas, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Oshimili South Local Government Area, yesterday deepened its intimacy among members at the gesture of Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mordi Ononye.
In attendance at the event, which took place in the official residence of Dr. Ononye in Asaba, was the Oshimili South PDP Chairman, Ogbueshi Dada Okonji, the Local Government Chairman, Comrade Osadebe, the former state PDP Chairman and Special Adviser to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Edwin Uzor.
Others are the member representing Oshimili South in the state House of Assembly, Hon Shedrack Rapu, the state PDP Women Leader, Lady Kanwulia Omoko and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth, Barr Ikechukwu Madumezia.
In his remark, Dr. Ononye said that the essence of the gathering was to fellowship with the leadership of the party at the local government level, and stressed on the need for the continued support to the Okowa administration.
While pleading for the sustenance of the existing unity in the party, the commissioner announced the donation of 50 bags of rice to the party executives and leaders in th4e spirit of the Christmas season.
In his brief comment, the party chairman, Ogbueshi Okonji, commended the Commissioner for making the donation of 50 bags of rice to the party for onward distribution to the grassroots, among other supports, stressing that the purpose of Christmas was to celebrate the people.
For the member representing Oshimili South State constituency, Hon Rapu, the event demonstrated that the party at the local government level remained a united and indivisible family, even as he assured the people of better days in the year 2020.
In the same vein, the Chairman of the Local Government, Comrade Uche Osadebe, stressed the need for the local government to continue in its peaceful disposition and support towards the Okowa administration to attract more development.
