NNPP Governorship candidate bemoans killing of protesters

By Austen Akhagbeme

Dr Azemhe Azena, the Edo State NNPP Governorship Candidate, has condemned the killings and harassment of harmless #EndBadGovernance protesters nationwide by security agents.

In a statement released today in Benin City, the Edo State Capital, the youthful Philanthropist and televangelist stated that “the youth, which constitutes a greater percentage of our population, must be heard loud and clear and it is quite condemnable when teargas and bullets are given to them in exchange for genuine agitation for good governance”

The Gubernatorial candidate, who himself, has carried out a one-man protest against hunger in Benin City recently, admonished protesters to be law-abiding and peaceful in their agitation for a better Country for all. It should be recalled that over 16 protesters have reportedly been killed so far in the ongoing #EndBadGovernance protest across the nation.

This has necessitated the nationwide broadcast by President Bola Tinubu on Sunday morning, calling for restraint and understanding by the protesters and all Nigerians.

Dr Azemhe Azena, a known advocate for Youth empowerment in Edo State, has given scholarships to scores of youths in the state and beyond and has equally helped in rehabilitating and reintegrating ex-convicts back into society through his youth-centric Foundation and advocacy.
