The general overseer and president New Testimony Gospel Church Oleh, Isoko South local government area, Primate Dr. Moses Ogbodogbo (JP) in his new year message at the church headquarter on Sunday, commended the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DESOPADEC, Bashorun Dr. Askia Ogieh and the president general of Isoko Development Union, High Chief Iduh Amadhe for social, economic infrastructural development of Isoko Nation.
Speaking to the church congregation from the book of Psalm 27 verse 4, Primate Ogbodogbo admonished the congregation to inquire from God the heart of love and show love to their neighbor saying, “Remember somebody in the days of milk and honey, when things are well with you and do good to your neighbour”.
He stated that, he was overwhelmed with roads construction by Governor Okowa in Isoko South and North local government area of the state, noting that the road dualization from Ozoro through Iyede in Isoko North to Ughelli North local government area under construction has boosted the social and economic lives of the people.
The clergyman maintained that Governor Okowa has resuscitated the social economic status of Oleh metropolis through the completion and accreditation of the law and engineering faculty of the Delta State University Oleh Campus. Primate Ogbodogbo commended Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for Isoko Development Union secretariat, which according to him wears a new look with structural development that shows Oleh is recognized among developing communities in Delta State.
Ogbodogbo commended Bashorun Dr. Askia Ogieh for the gigantic construction of student’s lecture hall and hostel accommodation at the engineering faculty department of the Delta State university Oleh campus. He noted that some roads and schools renovated in Isoko South and North were done by DESOPADEC. Primate Ogbodogbo expressed satisfaction on infrastructural development in Oleh campus which according to him has juxtaposed insinuation that Oleh campus will be relocated to another area of the state.
The clergyman stated that, the development of Isoko Development Union in recent times was fast tracked by High chief Iduh Amadhe. He commended Amadhe for his doggedness and love for Isoko nation, noting that the present secretariat of Isoko Development Union is his effort. He added that past president generals’ of Isoko nation could not achieve what Amadhe has achieved.
He led the congregation to pray for the leaders that has contributed to the development of the area even as he urged the people to do things that others could benefit from and add value to life. Primate Ogbodogbo called on those in government position to emulate those who have been magnanimous in the society to do good and add value to people’s lives.
The clergyman enjoined the people not to be angry when God blessed somebody, noting that tomorrow will be their turn even as he urged them to wait upon the Lord. He urged the congregation to avoid hatred and show love to one another, pray for the leaders to have the fear of God, stressing that the foundation of hatred is jealousy.
