PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan has been commended for appointing, Engr. Gabriel Amuchi as the Managing Director of Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
A socio-political organization, Ndokwa Unite made the commendation in a communiqué issued at the end of their monthly meeting at Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State.
According to the group in a statement signed by Hon. Dickson Chegbene and Hon. Gabriel Uti, Chairman and Secretary of the group respectively, the appointment was a round peg in a round hole as Engr. Amuchi is a technocrat who has distinguished himself in rendering service to Nigeria.
The group expressed confidence in the ability of Engr. Amuchi to positively improve on the fortunes of FERMA.
They also, commended the Governor of Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan for the appointment of Barr. Benedicta Osakuni-Izuegbu and Mr. Chukwudi Eke as Commissioners, Delta State Oil Producing Communities Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and the appointment of Hon. Charles Emetulu, Hon. Gloria Okolugbo and Hon. Ebifa Ijeoma as members of the Delta State Executive Council.
Ndokwa Unite used the occasion to state their preparedness for the 2015 general elections and urged all Deltans to ensure a peaceful state and also, work for their dream of an Ndokwa son emerging as Governor of the state in 2015 to be actualized.
Some of those who attended the meeting include, Comrade Henry Okechukwu, Elder Moses Osemeke, Pastor Wisdom Ochonogor, Hon. Asangwo Chukwunalu, Hon. Joseph Ngbonyebi, Hon. Peter Oshilim, among others.
