As preparations for the 8th National Youth Games gain momentum, Mr. Harrison Ocholor, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub Committee, has announced that the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), Chief Solomon Ogba, has established several subcommittees to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently.

Speaking to journalists in Asaba, Mr. Ocholor revealed that Chief Ogba has formed 12 subcommittees, each with a specific role to ensure the successful execution of the games.

He highlighted that the Games Village Management subcommittee will be led by Mr. Peter Itawansa, with Mr. Francis Egwudiuzor serving as Secretary. The Protocol and Ceremonial subcommittee will be headed by Chief Chinoye Daphey-Aliyu, with Mr. Sylvanus Okotoko as Secretary.

The Media and Publicity subcommittee will be under the leadership of Mr. Ocholor himself, with Mrs. Okonma Franca as Secretary. The Technical subcommittee will be managed by Mr. Onos Oborevwori, with Mr. Christian Chiekwe serving as Secretary. Chief Victor Onogagamue will chair the Facilities subcommittee, with Mr. Dickson Mordi as Secretary. SP Curtis Omorhienrhien will oversee the Security subcommittee, assisted by Mr. Anthony Ojei as Secretary.

Furthermore, the Feeding and Accommodation subcommittee will be chaired by Mr. Odemerho Francis, with Mrs. Blessing Ogbaudu as Secretary. The Medical subcommittee will be led by Dr. Anthony Enebe, with Mrs. Rita Daibo as Secretary. The Transport subcommittee will be headed by Mr. Onoriode Omajajah, with Mr. Edwin Onoyona as Secretary.

Additionally, Chief Ogba announced that the Mobilization subcommittee will be chaired by the Commissioner for Youth, Barr. Harry T. Trakiriowei, while Honourable Emmanuel Sinebe, Chairman of the House Committee on Sports and Youth Development, will oversee the Hospitality subcommittee. Finally, the Games Secretariat will be managed by the Director General of the Delta State Sports Commission, Mr. Ohwojero Festus, with Mr. Emoni Williams Esq as Secretary.

Chief Ogba urged all subcommittees to demonstrate dedication and excellence, emphasizing that their hard work is essential to the successful organization of the youth games.
