If you remember David in the bible, how he became king. What about King Solomon. You might be the smallest, the youngest, the weakest or the poorest but if it pleases God you could be the chosen one.
A good contemporary political example of the fact that life “is not of him that willeth or runneth but of God that showeth mercy” is Dr Ebele Goodluck Jonathan the president of Nigeria. With his case God has shown that He is not a respecter of persons. He does what He wants to do. He blesses whom so ever He chooses to bless without consulting or considering you or any other person. That is why it is, that one with God is majority.
It should be noted that one important thing about the men mentioned above is that they are humble. Call any other person you know that has been elevated by God, you will find that he is humble. That is why, if one humbles one’s self, God elevates him.
If you are behind, God brings you forward and if you are too proud or forward God brings you back. It is to prove that God decides.
A word is enough for the wise. The voice of the people is the voice of God. We want humility, God desires it, do not fight humility for you will be fighting God. Thank you for understanding.
