The Executive Chairman of Isoko South local government area, Hon. Warri Ovoke Friday has promised to Judiciously use local government funds received, for the effective development of the area with subsequent accountability.
Warri made the statement at Oleh council secretariat, during the reception and hand over ceremony organized by staff of the local government area.
He thanked God for the opportunity to lead the people of Isoko South and urged them to expect God’s control in his administration, noting that God will be in control of the local government area.
The chairman promised to follow the MORE AGENDA of governor Sheriff Oborevwori and called on the people to support him towards the development of the area, adding that his mandate is to deliver people’s oriented projects.
He thanked the staff, heads of departments of the council area and clergymen for the worm reception, and assured of equitable development of Isoko South local government area.
Warri urged the staff of the council to always be in their offices by 8.am begginning from Monday next week, emphasizing that his “administration is build on the solid rock of God”. He enjoined the staff of the council to be available in morning prayers everyday from 8.am to 8.30am.
The high point of the event was the handover note presented to Hon. Warri Ovoke Friday by the Head of Personell Management (HPM) of the local government council, Chief Mrs. Mary Iroro Ofogbor, just as she was the acting chairman of the local government area.
Chief Mrs. Ofogbor prayed for God’s protection and wisdom of leadership for the chairman and presented the handover note to Hon. Warri Ovoke Friday, for appendixes of signature.
The NULGE chairman of Isoko South local government council, Comr. Erube Oghogho at the occasion, commended Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for the selection of vibrant youths into the affairs of governance, and promised to work with the chairman, and assured that staff of the council will perform better as the executive chairman is God’s fearing.
On his part, Oleh ward 6 councilor, Mr. Olokor Friday, on behalf of other councilors in the local government area, promised to work with the chairman to move Isoko South forward, and commended the people of the area for voting for PDP, the chairman and all the councilors of Isoko South local government area.
In attendance was the vice chairman, Ikrike Theresa Oghale, Bishop John Aruakpor and other clergymen that prayed and annointed the chairmans office. Others are political associates of the chairman and a cross section of party faithful from Isoko South local government area
