Isoko Farmers Get 216 Urea Ferlitizers, Commend FG, Ukodhiko

Farmers from Isoko Federal constituency, yesterday received 216 bags of Urea fertilizers from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture through Hon. Pastor Jonathan Ajirighene Ukodhiko, member representing Isoko Federal constituency in the National Assembly.

The farmers commended the Federal Government and hon. Ukodhiko for the free Urea fertilizers meant to enhance higher productivity of crops in the constituency.

Speaking to newsmen at Erawha – Owhe, Isoko North local government area of Delta State, hon. Jerry Obi, senior legislative aid to hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko said, the direct beneficiaries were farmers from the 24 wards of Isoko North and South Federal constituency.

He stated that each farmer received one to two bags of the Urea fertilizers, which according to him was based on the sizes of their farms, adding that the Urea fertilizers are for vegetable farmers from the constituency.

Obi maintained that the distribution cuts across the constituents that applied and not through political party affiliation, noting that the distribution was orderly and peaceful.

He urged the people to make good use of the fertilizers to improve the yields of crops and should not be sold as it was gotten free from the Federal Government.

A cross section of the farmers from Enwhe, Igbide, Owhe, Oleh and other communities from Isoko Federal constituency, expressed gratitude to the Federal Government and hon. Jonathan Ukodhiko for the free Urea fertilizers, and promised to use it towards increased production of their crops, especially vegetables.
