ABUJA – Senator Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, on Thursday, October 10, paid a visit to the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs to discuss ongoing infrastructure developments in Niger Delta, with a particular focus on his Delta North constituency.

Received by the Minister, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, the Senator’s visit was aimed at reviewing development plans and discussing potential partnerships for 2025.

This strategic visit follows closely on the heels of similar engagements with the Minister of Works, David Umahi, as well as the Managing Director of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Engineer Chukwuemeka Agbasi.

In both visits, the Senator raised concerns about worsening condition of the Lagos-Asaba Expressway, particularly the stretch between Alifekide and the Asaba Bridge End, which had become hazardous and caused numerous fatalities.

Following those visits, which served as a decisive push, rehabilitation work has commenced on the damaged sections of the road.

Strategic engagements like these are very central to Senator Ned Nwoko’s approach, having pledged and demonstrated commitment to ensuring that his senatorial district does not miss out on critical infrastructure development.
