EMMANUEL UCHE is our STEPreneur for the week. He hails from Aniocha North Local Government Area and holds a BSC in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Benin. He got enrolled in the Delta State Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP) in the 2016/2017 Cycle as a way out of unemployment and has no regrets about his decision.
Trained and established in Electrical Installation and Repairs, he is the CEO of Marvict Electrical Store, Issele-Uku. He is efficient and knowledgeable in his line of enterprise. He has installed electricity in over 60 buildings. He is a resource person and a trainer with the State Government’s Rural Youth Skills Acquisition (RYSA.) Hear him,
“I have trained 34 persons and currently have 7 trainees from RYSA in my centre. I have featured in a number of exhibitions, and was part of the team of electricians that installed electricity in the venue for the 2017 Job Creation Product Exhibition.
“Consistency, availability and customer care are the hallmark for any successful business. I have taken electrical installation to the next level by going for re-training in Transformer Installation and Repair at Obosi in Anambra State, which has enhanced my marketability and increased the quality of clients attracted to me.
“I have two employees and have achieved a lot for himself and my family in the past five years. I have a flourishing electrical shop; have bought a car and am building a house.”
