“Though challenging, I am happy. The Orientation and Personal Effectiveness Training contributed 90% to my success, while the hands-on training was 10%.
“Currently, I own two factories. From 100 moulds, I now have 10,000 moulds. I have acquired 5 iron moulds, extra water tank, compacting machine, foreign mart for concrete stamping. I have diversified into supplying of sand and granite in tipper and trucks.
“I have bought lands in 3 different locations through the profit of my handiwork. I bought a Toyota Sienne and I also use same for transportation when I am less busy. I am a resource person to community-based NGOs.
I have trained more than 15 persons. I have 3 permanent staff and more than 10 contract staff. I have not built a house but hope to start one before the end of this year. STEP gave me a new name and face and, in my town, people call me Nwa Okowa meaning Okowa’s son. I am a symbol of prosperity for all Deltans.”
