The senior special adviser (SSA) to Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta State on youth and community development, hon. Chief Victor O. Egbo, has made consultation visit to Isoko South Peoples Democratic Party stalwarts to seek election as member Isoko South constituency 1, in the Delta State house of assembly.
Hon. Egbo who is the youth coordinator, Delta South Senatorial District and former president Isoko National Youth Assembly, made his intention public during the consultation visit to Mr. Raphael Odorewu, PDP chairman Isoko south and members of his executive, held at Uzere, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.
He noted that, is time for Oleh ward 1 in Isoko South constituency I, Delta State house of assembly to produce the next representative of the people, emphasizing that as a party member from Oleh ward 1, he stands qualified to contest for the position. Hon Egbo said, “My intention to run for the position is to attract development to the people of my area, and ensure equitable dividends of democracy to the constituency”.
He appealed to leaders of the party in the local government area to assist him seek the elective position, stressing that the desire to represent his people in the Delta State house of assembly require the support and direction of PDP stalwarts in the area. According to hon. Egbo, similar visit was made to Oleh ward 1 to make his intention known to his people.
While responding, Mr. Raphael Odorewu, Chairman People’s Democratic Party Isoko South local government area said, hon. Victor Egbo has been a strong PDP member from Isoko South, noting that he is an articulated member of Oleh ward 1 in Isoko South constituency 1. Odorewu assured hon. Egbo of the party leaders support as he enjoined members to assist him. The PDP chairman stated that Isoko South constituency 1 position is vacant in the coming elections and commended hon. Egbo Victor for exonerating himself from the politics of rancor and acrimony.
Earlier, hon. Chief Victor Egbo visited, hon. Bino Owhebe, chairman Delta State PDP youth leader, to also consult and appeal for support and direction in his quest to seek election as member Delta State House of assembly, Isoko South constituency 1.
Hon. Egbo stated that hon. Bino’s position as youth chairman of Delta State is unequivocal and requisite in his bid to contest the elective position in the Delta State house of assembly, Isoko South constituency 1 seat.
He appealed to him for support and youth mobilization during the coming elections. Hon. Bino assured Egbo of his support and cooperation, stressing that it is Oleh turn to produce the next State Assembly member representing Isoko South constituency 1. He said hon. Egbo is good for the position even as he enjoined party members to support him. Hon. Bino commended hon. Egbo for the visit and prayed for successful efforts in the coming elections.
On his part, Chief Obaro Godspower director general hope alive and senior special adviser to Chief Bashorun Askia Ogieh, the executive director finance and administration DESOPACDEC said, “i support hon. Victor Egbo ambition to seek election to Delta State house of assembly member representing Isoko South Constituency 1”. He noted that any aspirant that is a member of Hope Alive political group; automatically have his mandate and support to any elective position.
Present during the consultation visits are chairmen of the 11 wards from Isoko South local government area, PDP party stalwarts, palace chiefs from Oleh kingdom and a cross section of youth and women from the constituency.
