Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has commiserated with the family of Omo-Agege of Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area over the death of their patriarch, Hon. Chief Justice James Omo-Agege, the second Chief Judge of Delta State.
Okowa, in a condolence message made àvailable to Blank NEWS Online by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Aniagwu, described late Justice Omo-Agege as a fearless judge who as Chairman of the Bendel State Armed Robbery & Firearms Tribunal found the dreaded Anini and his gang members guilty of conspiracy and armed robbery and sentenced them to death by firing squad.
The governor said that the Late Chief Judge would be missed by all whose lives he had touched in many ways in his “very fulfilled and achievements-laden life.”
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I mourn the exit of a legend, a legal titan, former Chief Judge of Delta State, and Pioneer Chairman of the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, (DSIEC), Hon. Chief Justice James Omo-Agege.
“Justice Omoagege’s life-long dedication and indefatigable commitment to serving the people of the state will be missed.
The governor joined the Omo-Agege’s family, friends, associates, especially the Senator Representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege in mourning the late Octogenarian, former Chief Judge of the State, assuring the family that their late patriarch would always be celebrated.
“He will be honoured by his proud countrymen and women for his unblemished service and exemplary career which had inspired others to take up a career in the judiciary.”
