A local organising committee has been formed in respect of the clash between ex- Internationals in Edo/Delta and the rest of the country slated for 1st of February at the Warri Township Stadium with Chief Tony Okowa as the Chairman.
Others in the Committee for the match which is expected to parade the likes of Peter Rufai, Taribo West, Dan Amokachi, Mobil Okparaku,Ifeanyi Udeze, Uche Okechukwu are Stephen Cole as Director of Organisation, Onotoja Friday as Secretary, Victor Onogagamue as Adviser,Davidson Owumi in charge of Contact while Etu Moses is to head the Publicity Committee.
The essence of this high profile Football Match by Ex-Internationals of Delta/Edo and the rest of Nigeria which would be a high focal point of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) political rally is to showcase the Gubernatorial Candidate in Delta State, Dr (Senator) Ifeanyi Okowa as a complete Sports loving personality.
Those that have been confirmed apart from the ones listed above are Garba Lawal, Emmanuel Amunike, Jay Jay Okocha, Kingsley Obiekwu, Emeka Ezeugo, Alloy Agwu, Duke Udi, Kenneth Aigbe, Sam Sodje, Friday Christopher and Monday Aigbe.
