As the February, 2015 general elections draws closer, the President General of Ibusa Youth Council (IYC), Comrade Alfred Isoh has challenged youths to engage in activities that will promote peaceful co-existence in the country.
Speaking during the inauguration of the new executive of the umbrella body of the youth organization by the Obuzor of Ibusa, HRM Obi (Prof.) Louis Nwaoboshi at Ibusa, Oshimili North local government area of Delta State, Comrade Isoh stated that Nigerian youths should not be willing tools to those who wants to perpetuate evil.
According to him, Nigeria will be more peaceful if the youths resists been used by elders who uses them to actualize their selfish interests, assuring that his coming on board is the beginning of a new dawn in Ibusa community as the youths would be proactive towards pursuing peaceful programmes that will promote developmental activities in Ibusa and Nigeria in general.
“When we engages in destructive actions, we will face the effect in the future, so, as youths, we will resist any action that will lead to disruption of peaceful activities, especially in Ibusa, we have a revered traditional ruler, the Obuzor, we also have elders and as youths we must respect our elders and leaders but never to be used for issues that are not progressive and peaceful,” Comrade Isoh said.
He thanked the Obuzor of Ibusa for his leadership qualities which has made Ibusa to be relevant in the state and beyond.
Comrade Isoh pledged to work with government at all levels, the traditional institution and all stakeholders to ensure that Ibusa gets what it deserves as part of the Delta State capital territory.
He also emphasized that all the youths bodies of Ibusa at home and in the diaspora would be united to ensure unity of purpose in the development of Ibusa community and thanked all those who have contributed to the development of the town.
The Obuzor, Prof. Nwaoboshi urged the youths not to be unruly in their activities and that they should have respect for constituted authorities.

Comrade Okolichi Nwanze, Youth President of Ogbe-Owele quarters and President, Umuezeagu quarters, Comrade Ofili Osademe described Comrade Alfred as intelligent and the type of leader Ibusa deserves, stating that it was good that all the youth bodies of different quarters of the community were been carried along.
