The Deputy Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, in the September 21st election in Edo State, Hon Edith Ihueghian Isokpan was on Wednesday presented to the national leadership of the Party in Abuja by the Governorship Candidate, Dr Azemhe Azena.
The leadership of the Party, led by the party leader and former Governor of Kano State, Engr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, applaud the choice of Hon Isokpan which, according to him, portrays the true gender-sensitive nature of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP.
The National leadership, however, discussed extensively the readiness of the Party to flag off her campaign in Edo State as Wednesday marks the official kickoff of campaigns by political parties according to the INEC guidelines.
Hon Edith Isokpan who was recently chosen as the running mate to the esteemed Dr Azemhe Azena by the party leadership in Edo State, was elated and expressed her readiness to join forces with the Governorship candidate to secure victory at the upcoming polls.
The young female politician is a thoroughbred grassroots mobilizer and popular philanthropist in Edo State.
