The New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Governorship campaign train led by the Gubernatorial candidate, Dr Azemhe Azena, on Tuesday, visited with the Otaru of Auchi Sacred Kingdom.

Received by the Chiefs representing the 25 Villages that make up the Kingdom, Dr Azemhe Azena spoke extensively about the need to raise new political leaders in Edo North to replace the good work done by others in the past.

“Edo North is blessed with great men in all fields who are capable of changing the narratives by solving the perennial ecological problems bedevilling the senatorial zone”

The Governorship Candidate added that out of the many candidates vying for the Governorship position, he’s the only one who has businesses within the State that employ over 300 Edo indigenes.

” If I can do that as a private citizen, I will do much more as a sitting Governor” he added.

In his response, Prince H.M Momoh, the Daudu 1 of the Kingdom, on behalf of the Otaru of Auchi, Alhaji Aliru Momoh, Ikelebe 111, urged Dr Azemhe Azena to remember the Kingdom and its challenges of erosion that has become a menace in recent times when he becomes the governor of the State.

Prince Momoh, however, added that from the speech of the Governorship candidate, one can deduce sincerity of purpose and the willingness to serve the people based on his antecedents.

The Governorship candidate who is on an election campaign tour of the Edo North Senatorial zone, thanked the revered Monarch for the warm reception and promised to uphold the hopes and aspirations of the Edo people when voted into power.
