The Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, Dr Azemhe Azena, was on Thursday received by a mammoth crowd of well-wishers and party faithful at the Benin Airport on his return from Abuja.

The popular politician who was at the party headquarters in Abuja to receive his certificate of return, having won the party primary election earlier, expressed his gratitude to the party members and supporters across the state for choosing him as the flag bearer of the NNPP in the upcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

Speaking to newsmen at the airport, Dr Azemhe emphasized the need for a peaceful and issue-based campaign when the official campaign season finally kicks off in April.

According to him, “Edo state is bedeviled by a myriad of problems yawning for solutions such that no one should waste precious time on frivolities and mudslinging”

The youthful politician once again, calls for unity and cohesion within the NNPP family in Edo state to achieve victory in the battle ahead.

Dr Azemhe Azena also called on the youth to “expect the very best from me, being a youth also. Your time has come” he said.
