“Today, I was presented the Award of Outstanding Performance by the Coalition of Civil Society Organisations in recognition of our humble efforts at DESOPADEC in the delivery of infrastructural facilities and social amenities across our mandate areas.
“What is interesting is that the CSOs embarked on a fact finding and assessment tour of our projects and programmes and came back hugely amazed by what we have put on ground in various communities.
“They also noted that we have not been blowing our trumpet like some others but have submitted to the concept of Open Government Partnership.
“I thank the CSOs, especially their leaders who journeyed from the North, East and West into the riverine and the upland communities to verify our projects for themselves.
“We thank especially His Excellency, Sen Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for his vision, drive and encouragement, as well as the board, directors, management and staff of DESOPADEC, for their commitment to the fulfillment of our mandate.”
