Delta State Gears Up for Grand Praise, Worship Day to Mark Governor Oborevwori’s First Year Anniversary

Delta State is set to host a grand festival of praise and worship on Wednesday, May 29, at the Event Centre in Asaba. This event is one of the key activities planned to celebrate Governor Sheriff Oborevwori's first year in office.

The praise and worship day, following a thanksgiving service held at Living Faith Church, Asaba, on Sunday, aims to glorify God for the achievements of the past year. Scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., the event will feature performances from renowned gospel artists across Nigeria. Among the celebrated artists set to perform are Mercy Chinwo, Frank Edwards, Evangelist Emmanuel Ofano, Buchi, Asu Ekiye, Evangelist Jerry Ekpekuro, and Tisio-Tisio.

The Publicity sub-committee released a statement calling on party faithful, political stakeholders, and other Deltans to join in the celebration. The statement highlighted the administration’s accomplishments over the past year, particularly in project delivery and human capital development, as outlined in the MORE Agenda.

Governor Oborevwori, known for his commitment to improving the lives of Delta State residents, sees this day as an opportunity to thank God for the progress made and to seek continued blessings for the future.

The event promises to be a day of joyous worship and reflection, bringing together the community in a shared spirit of gratitude and celebration.
