In a bid to sustain the capacity building and empowerment policies of the Delta state government, wife of the Governor of Delta State, Deaconess Roli-Nere Uduaghan has flagged-off the presentation of farm inputs to rural women farmers in the 25 local government areas of the state.

The presentation ceremony which held today (Friday, April 04, 2014) at the Event Centre in Asaba witnessed the distribution of high yielding cassava stems and fertilisers to rural women farmers through the Chairpersons of the 25 local government councils.

Deaconess Uduaghan advised the Council Chairpersons to ensure that the farm inputs were evenly distributed to the rural women and evolve means of constant inspection of the farms to ascertain if they were properly put to use.

She also enjoined the rural women farmers in the state to always put their trust in God to ensure that their plants yield good fruits in due season.

In her response, Chairman of the Local Government Council Chairpersons and wife of the Committee Chairman of Aniocha South local government, Mrs Elizabeth Mabuogwu, lauded the efforts of Deaconess Roli Uduaghan in assuaging the pains of the rural dwellers through the provision of high yielding cassava stems and fertilisers, assuring that the they would ensure that the farm inputs are widely distributed.
