THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ndokwa West local government area has secured a court order restraining the state party chairman and the party in the state from removing the party executive in the area from office, pending the determination of the motion before an Obiaruku High Court.
Chairman of the party in the area, Engineer Dan Ossai and his executives went to the court presided over by Justice M.N. Obi, begging the court to stop the party from interfering with the result sheets or altering the results of the elections held on March 3, 2012 and March 10, 2012 respectively.
They are also seeking an interim injunction to restrain the defendants from holding any meeting to discuss the result compiled on the said dates.
They urged the court to restrain the defendants, their agents, servants and or privies from intimidating, harassing and disturbing them from carrying out their lawful duties as elected executives of Ndokwa West local government area PDP having been so elected in the said elections.
The trial judge, Justice Obi, after listening to Mr. V.N. Adaikpo Esq, granted the order stopping the PDP from removing them from office.
The court fixed February 6, 2014 for hearing.
