HRM Anthony Williams Ovrawah Omogha 1, The Odiologbo of Oleh kingdom, has urged the people of Oleh kingdom to collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC), and vote wisely for candidates contesting the 2023 general elections in the area.
The monarch gave the charge at Oleh Civic center, Isoko South local government area of Delta State, while declaring the 2022 annual general conference of Oleh kingdom open for peaceful deliberation.
He appealed for the revocation of various sanctions slammed on some of the community members that were involved in the formation of parallel Union, and all persons purported to be operating parallel Community Development Committee (CDC), just as he urged the people to accept the present Oleh Community Development Union, Community Development Commitee.
The monarch noted that, marriage committee, town planning committee, the vigilante, education and project committees are to be set up through the Union and Palace unitary system of government.
He revoked various sanctions slammed on some of the community members that were involved in the formation of parallel Union, and all persons purported to be operating parallel Community Development Committee (CDC), just as he urged the people to accept the present Oleh Community Development Union, Community Development Commitee.
Speaking during the 2022 December annual general conference, the president general of Oleh kingdom, Comr. (Chief) Believe Alakri, enumerated the achievements of his administration to include, construction of 1.4 killomiter road at Smith Evivie road, Omu Street, Dantinajo road, Ejebe Street and H & O Hotel Street in Oleh kingdom.
Others are completion and installation of 30 jack pump boreholes at various street locations, engagement of successfull Oleh / Owhara youths, training of youths that received starter packs with One hundred thousand Naira (N100,000.00) each, and the second batch of forty youth beneficiaries in Oleh kingdom.
Alakri added that the dissolution of Community Development Committee (1 & 11) by the Odiologbo of Oleh kingdom, Heritage Energy Oil Services Limited and Agip Oil Company scholarship for Oleh indigenes in secondary school and tertiary institution and the construction of one side drainage of 400 meters at Okpaivie layout Oleh, are some of his achievements.
He emphasized that many other projects ongoing in the area will soon be completed, just as called on son’s and daughters of Oleh kingdom to contribute to the peace process over security challenges in the area.
The president general commended the national executive committee of Oleh kingdom, leaders of Oleh community, Joint Abroad Branches, street chairmen, the women and Oleh native evangelical, for moral support over the peace process and immense financial contributions.
Alakri also commended everyone that provided relief materials and financial support to the 2022 flood victims in Oleh kingdom, especially internally displaced person’s at Odoro Primary School Oleh, even as he thanked those that made the 2022 annual general conference successful.
