It was pomp and pageantry enmeshed in culture at the ancient Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, when the Prime Minister (Onishe), Chief Emma Ejiofor marked his eight year on the stool.
The event which took place at the Onishe’s palace in Ubulu-Uku and witnessed a huge turn-out of personalities from across Nigeria and the Diaspora, turned out to be a gathering of dignitaries drawn from the traditional institution, considering the attendance of Royal Fathers.
Elated Chief Emma Ejiofor, who was dressed in white Royal regalia, described the anniversary as a means to further lift the cultural heritage of Ubulu-Uku Kingdom and enhance unity among the people.
Highlights of the celebration were traditional/cultural displays and dances as well as a royal visit from his palace to his family compound.
The Umu-Ozim family of Ubulu-Uku also presented the Onishe with a letter to congratulate him for his forthrightness and contribution to the development of the kingdom. The letter was signed by Pius Efelemoku.
Recall that Integrity International Magazine recently honored Chief Emma Ejiofor, Onishe of Ubulu kingdom with the Global Leader of integrity award.
Dr Richard S. Ikpada who presented the award in Lagos recognized Chief Emma Ejiofor’s commitment to honesty, good governance, transparency and accountability in leadership.
“This is an extraordinary honor, and I could not be more deeply moved,” the Onishe had said while accepting the award “on behalf of Ubulu-uku people.”
