Pa. Chief Samson Amadhe, a centenarian has passed on at the age of 115 years old at Uzere, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.
High Chief Iduh Amadhe, patron Isoko Development Union and chairman OML 30 Board who announced the demise of the centenarian stated that, Pa. Chief Samson Amadhe died at night on the 6th of October 2024 at his compound Uzere, Isoko South local government area.
Iduh Amadhe maintained that, Pa. Chief Samson Amadhe was the Odio – Orere of Uzere Kingdom (oldest man) since 2020, adding that the burial rites according to native and custom of the the area, will be announced to the general public by the family.
Recalled that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, friends and associates of high Chief Iduh Amadhe, attended the 114th birthday celebration of Pa. Samson Amadhe in 2023 at Uzere, Isoko South local government area.
Pa. Samson Amadhe was described as the first fisherman in Obikwele to kill a manatee, a mammalian acoustic animal (Erovre), that used to trouble fishermen with a spear and the Okpara – Uku of the town bestowed on him chieftaincy title of (Otueka), meaning the man who used one hand to operate wonders.
Meanwhile, Uzere men and women in their numbers danced and celebrated the life and times of the centenarian, Pa. Chief Samson Amadhe, at his compound Uzere, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.
