Askia Ogieh JP, has affirmed that the Delta Political Vanguard (DPV), has devised strategies to spearhead the re-election of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as the Governor of Delta State in the 2019 general elections.
Bashorun Askia, who spoke at the backdrop of ongoing support and mobilization rallies organized by the Delta Political Vanguard (DPV), said the drive is aimed at strengthening the unity in the party in Delta state, reaffirming its stand to help build confidence and mobilize Deltans to massively support the Governor’s second coming.
Bashorun Askia, who is also a chieftain of the Delta Political Vanguard (DPV) which is the Mass Mobilisation and Sensitisation organ of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa,
expressed happiness in the resounding pledge of all PDP faithful to support the mission and vision of DPV to ensure that the party retains and sustains its firm political grip on the electorates across the state.
He disclosed that DPV has commenced harmonization processes in the 25 local government areas of the state through effective sensitization and mobilization of the people at the grassroots as well as further engaging the party executives at the ward and local government levels in the drive to facilitate reconciliatory processes and entrench discipline and unity among party members.
According to him, “As the Mass Mobilisation and Sensitisation organ of Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, we are not resting on our oars as PDP chieftains. We are all out to work vigorously for the general interest of the party in Delta state headed by Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso and with a commitment to ensure electoral victory for all PDP candidates.”
Bashorun Askia Ogieh said, “Governor Okowa has demonstrated equity in the distribution of projects across the three senatorial districts and in the appointment of political office holders in the state.”
He therefore encouraged Deltans who are 18 years and above to ensure that they collect their Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC) to enable them exercise their voting rights in the forthcoming elections.
Bashorun Askia, urged all PDP members who may have left the party while the internal crisis lasted to return and also encouraged those intending to join from other political parties that the PDP umbrella is wide enough to accommodate everybody willing to participate in building a peaceful, united and progressive Delta state and Nigeria.
