MANAGING DIRECTOR/CEO of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, has expressed satisfaction over the ongoing construction work at the ultra-modern DESOPADEC tower project in Warri.
He made the commendation on Monday, January 10, 2022 during a working visit to the project site, where he lauded the efforts of the contractor.
Bashroun Askia assured Deltans that “before the end of my tenure, with God on our side, all DESOPADEC projects will be completed.”
The office building christened DESOPADEC Towers is located within the Warri-Sapele road head office of the agency.
The start off fund for the star project, which had received the approval of the state Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, was the proceeds of a dedicated account from absentee staff as revealed by the biometric data capture and is essentially designed to address the problem of office accommodation for staff of the commission.
Recall that the Managing Director of the board, Baahorun Askia Ogieh, had performed the groundbreaking ceremony of the office building complex to commemorate the one year anniversary of the current board.
According to a dependable source, the project concept, from architectural design to structural engineering and ancillary requirements, was done by the in-house technical team of the commission.
The DESOPADEC MD was accompanied on the project inspection by the Executive Director Finance and Administration, Olorogun John Nani; the Executive Director, Projects, Barr. Daniel Mayuku, the Executive Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Dr. Shedrack Agediga and other Management staff.

Thanks for ur good work sir,
We the people of Uzere are in need of these development as one of the highest oil producing area but no electricity and the electricity in Uzere suppose to be constant due to our production in the oil setup, no good roads, no employment even those who have graduated are strongly to get a job, no institutions where our children who have the zeal for education can study from there.
Everyone is strongly to survive in Uzere, due to lack of job everyone go into farming and there is no financial support from the government in terms of farming equipment and all the rest.
Uzere is one of the community generating the resources for Nigeria as a whole because Nigeria depends on the oil for survival but Uzere is the most neglected community in terms of development and all the rest.
We need constant electricity, we need good roads, we need higher institutions, those that are into farming need empowerment.
Please let the desopadec and the the federal government remember Uzere and transform it into the that people in outside country are thinking that it is.
Thanks and continue ur good works.
