The Executive Director, Finance and Administration, DESOPADEC Bashorun Askia Ogieh JP on Friday 28th September, 2018 visited the Emede Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) Camp in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta state and donated relief materials worth millions of naira.
The relief materials include a cow, truck load of food items – bags of rice, bags of beans, gallons of groundnut oil, gallons of palm oil, cartons of Indomie noodles, cartons of washing and bathing soaps, cartons of milk and other beverages.
Other items include a truck load of toiletries, a truck load of bottled and sachet water, provision of drugs to assist the medical department of the camp and many other household necessities.
Presenting the items immediately after visiting the various segments of the camp, Bashorun Askia commended His Excellency Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for his swift response in setting the IDP camps all over the State and providing the needed logistics to take care of the displaced person. He then on behalf of DESOPADEC presented the relief materials.
Mrs. Omoefe Oghenekome, the Camp Commandant while receiving the materials expressed great appreciation to Bashorun Askia Ogieh and promised to make use of the donated items judiciously.
The EDFA was accompanied by the Director General of HOPE ALIVE Hon. Chief Godspower Obaro, Isoko South PDP LGA Chairman Mr. Raphael Odorewu, HOD, Project Monitoring and Evaluation, DESOPADEC Engr. Efe-Aluta Oghale, Uzere PDP Ward Chairman Mr. Immortal Efi and many others.
