THE Bishop of Anglican Communion, Oleh Diocese, Rt. Rev. John U. Aruakpor, at the weekend laid the foundation of 500 sitting capacity multi – purpose hall of the old boys Association of Emore Grammar School that was donated by Hon. and Mrs. Eta Enahoro at Oleh, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.
Speaking to journalists, Aruakpor called on the sons and daughters of Isoko Nation to emulate Eta Enahoro and imbibe the spirit of generousity by adding value to the lives of others, noting that whatever you sow is what you will reap.
He commended Eta for the show of love and being a blessing to others, adding that those God has blessed should give back to Isoko people and the larger society.
The Bishop in a short exhortation admonished the people to sow good seeds, emphasising that the edifice will be a blessing to many people. He said, “if you do evil you reap evil, the day you plant is not the day you will reap. One day either you or your children and members of your family will reap it”.
While describing the event as unique, High Chief Iduh Amadhe, Patron of Isoko Development Union, commended Eta for the multi purpose hall and urged Isoko sons and daughters to complement the good gesture by donating science and sports equipment, text books and other materials to the institution.
On his part, the Principal of Emore Grammar School, Mr. Edhekeya Anthony, first old boy to head the school, commended Eta for personally embarking on the project, noting that the building shall be a blessing to many others in the future. He prayed God to bless members of the Association for more developmental contributions.
Corroborating the principal of the school, the National President, Mr. Egbure Emmanuel and the chairman home branch, Mr. Albert Udoma Edoka of Emore Old Students’ Association, thanked Eta for the multi purpose hall, stressing that it’s a land mark achievement for members of the students association.
Udoma described Eta as a man with the spirit of magnanimity and urged others to imbibe the habit of giving back to the society when God blessed them, especially the Alma-mata of the institution. He stated that it was a dream come true for members of the association as they had proposed the celebration of golden jubilee in 2022.
Also speaking, Hon. Eta Enahoro stated that the multi purpose hall is his “contribution to the growth of education and the betterment of the society”. He urged those God has blessed to reciprocate the gesture by giving out to others willingly.
