Accolades For Azaka's Good Representation

THE people of Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State have described Hon. Azuka Azaka as an effective representative of the people in the state House of Assembly.

Speaking when a team of journalists who were invited to Ndemili and some of the communities in the local government area to see some projects executed by Hon. Azaka through self-help and constituency projects, the people insisted that one unique attribute of the law maker is that he relates personally with people.

According to Chief Uche Okonye, Chief Patrick Ndego, Rev. Michael Ozegbe, Hon. Azaka though, was elected to make good laws for Deltans he has attracted developmental

projects and when the projects were needed urgently by the people, he used his personal money to execute such projects.

“Hon. Azuka is working very well for the masses, we cannot count what he has attracted as dividends of democracy to our community, though he is doing such in other communities, we have enjoyed the dividends very well within his few years in office, more than the years of democratic governance in the country,” Chief Okonye said, adding, “he graded all the link roads in Ndokwa West, especially, Ndemili/Utagba Uno road which is very important to us, he built an administrative block at the Girls Grammer School, Ndemili, and at least one public school in each of the communities in the local government area.”

Chief Ndego added, “when he came here and requested for some projects, we gave him a list, we thought it was all politics but, he promised to do what he could and I can tell you that today, he has executed all the projects we requested from him, the Administrative Building in the Girls Grammer School, the market, the electricity project, the link road to Utagba-Uno.”

“The community requested for the bulldozing of the town’s civic centre and he did it, he is always interacting with the people and we are witnessing this type of representation for the first time,” Rev. Ozegbe enthused.

To Mrs Clementina Onyidu, Hon. Azaka “has given us more than stomach infrastructure, he provided for us what to use in training our children and feed our family, we are in support of Hon. Azaka and want him to return to the Delta State House of Assembly in 2015.”

The Principal of Girls Secondary School, Ndemili, Mrs Theresa Eze said,
“personally, I have not met Hon. Azaka but, he is a man who has the interest of the people at heart, he has attracted these projects, but the community should assist in supervising projects executed by the Delta State Oil Producing Communities Development Commission (DESOPADEC),” adding, “for the first time, the politicians were considering the school administrators, before now, they were talking about classroom, classroom without considering the welfare of the administrators, this administrative block is a good work, we are more comfortable.”

At Abbi, the Principal of Abbi Grammer School, Abbi, Mr Felix Enuenwosu said, Hon. Azaka, “built a modernized administrative building, before now, we were using demarcated classrooms as offices, we used plywood to demarcate offices, this structure has contributed immensely to productivity because, apart from your documents being safe, your records of work are well kept and people show more enthusiasm to work.”

“When the community heard of this project which was the first of its kind in any public school in Ndokwa nation, the indigenes came in and made personal contributions to make it a first class administrative building in appreciation of Hon. Azaka’s efforts,” the Principal said, adding, “the law maker is not showing selfishness, he is showing equity in the distribution of developmental projects, we thank him for bringing quality persons to supervise the projects, the quality, the nature of the work.”

A Youth Leader in Abbi, Mr Joseph Eghor, described the projects of Hon. Azaka “as noble because, nobody has donated an edifice like this in the pasts, he has feelings for teachers, teachers are no longer in haste to go home, they can do their work in the school comfortably, politicians should emulate our Honourable, Azuka Azaka who have proven that our people can enjoy dividends of democracy,” while, Mr Nwose Albert, a lecturer at the Federal University of Technology, Minna stated, “Hon. Azuka can come to a place without making noise, very unassuming human being, I support him for second term, even if he is going for a fourth term.”

  1. Let Azaka,in this tenure, encourage mechanised farming in Ndemili,to discourage massive out-flow of the youth to the town.
He should bring up projects that could attract the youths back to the community.
Based on my research and findings,Ndemili could be turned to the FOOD BASKET OF THE STATE.It is very much posible.
I have a blue-print on how this can be done.
    LET’S DO IT AZAKA
