The 7th National Youth Games originally billed for 7 to 17 September, 2023 has been rescheduled to to take place from 20 to 30th September, 2023 in Asaba.
This information was made clear in a telephone chat with the Chairman Delta State Sports Commission, Chief Tonobok Okowa who doubles as President of Athletics Federation of Nigeria AFN.

Chief Okowa said the new date was confirmed after he had a meeting with the Federal Ministry of Sports Development.
According to the Ministry, the change in date was to allow more time for the plans towards hosting a memorable youth games fiesta.
The games will serve as a forerunner to celebrate Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Anniversary, which will be marked on October 1st, 2023.
