YAGEP Was a Boost to my Farm, Says Achuba

Chimenma Achuba (Piggery) benefitted from the Delta State Government’s Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme under the Brown YAGEP category in the 2020/2021 cycle. She hails from Ukwuani Local Government Area and has a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture. She is the CEO of JosricoEnterprise which specializes in pig farming. She shares her story.

“The support package I received from the state government was helpful. It went a long way in boosting my farm. I was able to source for my pigs and to provide feed for them. Though my farm was affected by the African swine fever, yet I am still in businessbecause of the support package.

“I currently have 97 pigs. I have diversified to crop production. I cultivate plantain, cassava and vegetable. From the proceeds from my farm, I assist my family. I have one employee.
